I have a whiteboard with a metal back but no "ledge" for holding the markers. I tape one to each of my whiteboard markers so that I can hang the marker on the board. I also taped two to a whiteboard eraser and it sticks too! I'll probably glue them in the future, as they're so cheap they're pretty much disposable.
